Steven E. Mackenzie, P.E.Steven Mackenzie is a native and lifelong resident of the City of Barre, graduating from Spaulding High School. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering (1971) and an MS in Civil Engineering (1973). Upon graduation, Steve was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve and attended Officers Basic School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Upon his return to Vermont, Steve started his professional engineering career as a Staff Engineer at Dubois and King, Inc. in Randolph, Vermont, where he is currently Senior Vice-President and a senior owner. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Steve has served in numerous civic capacities within the Barre City and Central Vermont community including terms as past member and Chairman of both the Barre City Elementary School Board, the Spaulding High School Board and in his current capacity as Ward 2 Alderman on the Barre City Council. He has previously served the Central Vermont Medical Center as a member of its Community Relations and Development Committee.
Steve resides in Barre with his wife, Claudia. Their son Nick lives in Boston, and their daughter Nealee, resides in South Burlington. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, skiing and riding his 2003 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster.
