August 15, 2005 US Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is pleased to announce that 12 coaches who work with student athletes who have physical disabilities have been selected to attend the 2005 National Paralympic Academy at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO , August 15-18. Among those selected is Danielle Hampton, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Central Vermont Medical Center. Ms. Hampton is the Head Coach of the Vermont Adaptive Disabled Ski Team which trains at Sugarbush Resort through the Fall and Winter.
Coaches were selected to attend the 2005 National Paralympic Academy based on their history of success in conducting Paralympic sports programs for youth as well as recommendations from atheletes and supervisors. |
