July 6, 2005 Berlin, VT – Central Vermont Medical Center’s Breast Care Program is designed to support the women of central Vermont. The Center provides individualized care that includes screening, diagnostics (tests, exams, or procedures used to determine the health of your breast), treatment and follow up, plus education and support.
A walk-in Breast Care Clinic is available, starting July 12, from noon to 1:00 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Health Education & Resource Center in the hospital’s lower lobby. A Breast Care Coordinator will be there to assist with information, referral, education and support. To speak with a coordinator by phone or to schedule an individual appointment call the Breast Care Line at 371-4377 (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday).
Free mammograms for women of any age who do not have medical insurance or who have high insurance deductibles are available at CVMC. All you need is a doctor’s referral and an appointment for a mammogram at Central Vermont Medical Center. Call 371-4377 for more information. |
