March 17, 2006 Terry Redmond named Director of Nutrition & Food Services at CVMC
Berlin, Vt -- Terry Redmond, of Barre, VT was recently named Director of Nutrition & Food Services at Central Vermont Medical Center.
“Terry comes to us with over 15 years of experience in food service management that includes hospitals, nursing homes and school district cafeteria programs, “ said Central Vermont Medical Center Vice President Richard Morley. “Terry will be a great addition to our team.”
Terry grew up in Montpelier. At age 16 he started working at the Stockyard, right across the street from Montpelier High School. After graduation he continued to get his culinary education on the job and working with different chefs. Most recently, Terry was working for Caf頓ervices, a corporate contract management company operating food service for cafeterias, school systems, summer camps etc. He was district manager for Vermont and New Hampshire.
Redmond is no stranger to food service in a heath care setting. He took over as director of food service at Fanny Allen Hospital in 1993 and remained in that position until the merger with the Fletcher Allen Health Center in 1996. “I worked with my counterpart at Fletcher Allen to bring the two kitchens together and then continued to work there for another for two years,” said Redmond.
Terry and his wife Lisa live in Barre. They have four daughters, Laura, age 19, Shelby, age 11, Carly, age 9 and Faith, age 5.
