March 1, 2007 Barre, Vt - Construction has been completed on a new facility for the Barre Health Center on South Main Street. The Health Center includes Barre Internal Medicine Physician Practice, Barre Pediatrics Physician Practice, and satellite CVMC Rehabilitative Services, which were previously housed in a double-wide trailer on the property. In addition, they will have outpatient nutrition and diabetic education services, mental health services, and care management.
“This has been part of our strategic planning for several years,” said Daniel Bagalio, CVMC’s Executive Vice President and COO. The Barre Health Center will be moving into new quarters on Saturday February 24th and will begin seeing patients in that facility on Monday, February 26th. Patients will find the new building warm and comfortable with modern exam rooms and a greatly expanded rehabilitation services department.
The old building will be in place for several weeks and then demolished to make room for more parking.
An Open House will be scheduled in late spring.
