Suraiya Kureshi M.D. has joined Barre Pediatrics on South Main Street in Barre. Dr. Kureshi did her undergraduate work at George Washington University in Washington, DC where she received her BA with honors in psychology. She received her medical degree with honors at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Kureshi has done research on cancer in adolescents and on childhood obesity. Most recently, Dr. Kureshi was a pediatrics attending at St. Christopher’s in the Urgent Care/Emergency Department. While at St. Christopher’s she was also a clinical instructor with Drexel University, for medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Kureshi is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kureshi’s husband, Maruf Haider, is a resident in Internal Medicine at Fletcher Allen Health Care. The two enjoy many of Vermont’s outdoor activities like skiing, hiking and kayaking. Dr. Kureshi is taking new patients. Call Barre Pediatrics at (802) 476-9242
